*scratch that* I can only think of one phrase that I have been hearing a lot and even find myself saying a lot these days..

"I don't have time for this shit."
1 month later and I still haven't touched that camera. Another day, another time.

I think I need to get into the photography spirit again... I am thinking about trying this out:


They posted this challenge just as a take a photo using whatever you want, like instagram on your iphone, but I want to take this challenge in manual mode with my little g11. Lets see if I can do it. I may not do one a day- but I do hope to do all 30 by the end of October... we'll see...

Love this shot of my niece in her sun bonnet at the zoo.  She wasn't very interested in the animals, but boy did she love looking at her own feet.  The lighting could be better, but regardless, the thing that makes this photo so cool is the expression in her face and the angle of the shot.  

It has been a while... went to discovery green today to meet up with Marisa, Bryson, and Violet! Here are my two favorite ones of today! The first is of our puppy Lily and the second is of Violet. Tons of bright sun so the shutter speed was very fast and I was able to take good photos without them blurring.

-random- I took the first photo while playing around on the camera at my desk and seeing the reflection of my desktop in the granite. I tried to capture the flower from my desktop. The fstop was on 2.8 I think- that is why everything around it is blurry and the middle of it is in focus.


This second photo I didn't take with the G11, I took it with my Iphone4! After spending some time outside searching for clues about what attacked our patio cushions, Ryan found a bunch of these feathers. A bluejay is dying, molting, or whatever attacked our cushions is also attacking the birds...
